Diversity among the Native American tribes

In the passage, “Native American History: Diversity Among the Nations”, the main idea is that there was diversity among the Native American tribes. The passage states that between the 574 different Native American tribes they spoke many different languages. In passage 7 the Iroquois women chose the leaders, but most societies had men as their leaders. In the passage it talks about how the tribes had many different dwellings, or now we call them houses, in the Easter tribes they had longhouses, in the Northern tribes they had igloos, and finally, in the Western tribes they lived in houses, made from branches, and wood. These reasons include why the different Native American tribes are unique in their own different ways.
